Judith McNeill, University of New England
Dr Judith McNeill is a Research Fellow and Project Director at the Institute for Rural Futures and an economist with a wide range of experience in Commonweath and State Treasuries, university teaching and environmental and regional economic development research. She has completed research projects in industrial ecology, socio-economic impact analysis, ecological economics, infrastructure finance, federal-state financial relations, cost benefit analysis and e-commerce.
Since 1991, she has been lecturing in economics, firstly at the UNE's Coffs Harbour campus and later in Armidale. Judith is currently a post-doctoral research fellow specialising in ecological economics – a branch of economics which integrates ecology and economics. She is particularly interested in sustainable development policy issues, corporate sustainability reporting and regional development. She also teaches a course in Sustainable Development and Competitive Advantage at QUT.

E-Commerce and its Impacts for Rural Business (Research)
Nov 2002This study was commissioned by the Australian Business Foundation to examine the opportunities and the threats posed by e-commerce to business capability in rural and regional Australia. The study provides a snapshot into rural Australia to determine the reality of the implications of electronic commerce for rural non-farm businesses.
