Australian Business International Trade Services (ABITS) is one of NSW Business Chamber’s key service delivery units assisting companies to grow their business offshore through creating trade linkages and providing tailored solutions designed to create sustainable growth opportunities while reducing risks and costs.

ABITS reaches and directly works with over 2,000 internationally focussed companies each year to assist them achieving offshore success.  This work includes assisting Australian companies to develop trade linkages by providing vital support in the areas of market research, marketing, project management, strategic advice, network development and supply chain management.   

China Desk, ABITS is a leading team in Australia to assist Australian businesses to do business with China. The strength of the team is enhanced by the strategic alliance with the Ministry of Commerce of the P.R. China and its subsidiaries. China Desk also successfully established extensive networks with business communities, industry bodies and provincial/municipal government agencies in China. 

By leveraging its country expertise, experiences, strategic alliances and networks, China Desk has assisted Australian companies across a broad range of industry sectors to do business with China.   • Engaging China: The realities for Australian businesses (Research)

    The Australian Business Foundation undertook a study examining the current realities for Australian firms doing business with China. This study was led by international relations specialist, Dr Keith Suter with an expert team of senior journalist, Catherine Armitage and China specialists, Sara Cheng and Rab Memari of Australian Business International Trade Services.

    It involved an analysis of the background to Australia-China business relationships and a series of 26 business case studies based on interviews with senior executives of Australian enterprises which have a substantiative history of doing business with China.
