Professor David Gann, Chair in Technology and Innovation Management, Imperial College Business School

Professor David Gann holds the Chair in Technology and Innovation Management, a joint appointment between Imperial College Business School and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He co-founded the Think, Play, Do Group, a company specialising in innovation strategy and management.

David is responsible for a large portfolio of research, has authored an extensive range of academic papers and is co-author with Mark Dodgson and Ammon Salter, of the books, Think, Play, Do–technology, innovation and organisations and  Management of Technological Innovation. He is Group Innovation Executive at Laing O’Rourke plc and has had extensive experience as a policy adviser to government and industry.

David Gann is a chartered civil engineer with a PhD in industrial economics.
