FORMER FOUNDATION CHAIRMAN APPOINTED NEW TELSTRA CHAIRMAN

The Australian Business Foundation today applauded the announcement of former Foundation Chairman and Director Catherine Livingstone AO as the newly appointed Chairman of Telstra.

Chief Executive of the Australian Business Foundation, Narelle Kennedy said that the appointment of Ms Livingstone was a promising step for Telstra because of her unrivalled experience as a successful business executive and a far-sighted strategic thinker

“As Chairman of the Australian Business Foundation, Catherine provided transformational leadership of the Foundation guiding a step-change in the sustainability of the Foundation’s business model and its policy influence.

“I have also had the pleasure of working alongside Catherine on the recent Review of the National Innovation System, and her views and contributions were invaluable to this process.

“As the newly appointed Chairman, I have no doubt Catherine Livingstone will be an excellent leader and invaluable source of knowledge for Telstra,” Ms Kennedy concluded.
